Hudie McCole has been honoured for 56 years of service to Dungloe ABC with a lifetime achievement award.

He was introduced with the honour on the membership’s awards ceremony final evening.

Hudie McCole has been a relentless within the membership because the late 1960’s, with the membership saying that “his dedication to the membership and membership over a lifetime has been really outstanding.”

“Attending coaching 3 nights per week and touring to championships the size and breadth of the nation Hudie’s enthusiasm for his membership and the boxers has been unwavering. Beneath Hudies stewardship the membership has loved nice success through the years with a number of Irish Champions, Ulster Champions, Donegal Champions & College Champions.”

“Plenty of boxers have additionally gone on to the paid skilled ranks, with Shaun Mc Shane having a profitable professional profession in Scotland and Danny Boyle presently flying the flag.”

Cathal Mc Auley, one of many membership’s most embellished boxers mentioned, “we the members of the membership needed to say ‘thanks’ to Hudie for all he has achieved for us through the years”.
