A Donegal girl has been topped the queen of handball, in Holland.
Avril McNamee, from Ballybofey, gained the European One Wall Dutch Open title final weekend.
She isn’t any stranger to the game, having gained a world title in 2018, and has been coached from a younger age by the legendary Paddy Murray.
Remarkably, the Dutch championship was her first competitors in 5 years.
Additionally a proficient musician, she is a member of the MacCumhaill’s membership within the Twin Cities.
“It’s nice to see Avril repeatedly flying the MacCumhaills flag on the worldwide stage,” a spokesperson for the membership mentioned.
