Inishowen farmer fined for bald tyres on option to mart

An Inishowen farmer has been fined in Courtroom after being present in breach of the regulation over tyre tread depth whereas taking a load of sheep to a mart.

Philip Faulkner was on his option to the mart when he was stopped at a checkpoint manned by gardai and the Street Security Authority on June 16, 2022.

Sergeant Vincent Muldoon gave proof to Letterkenny District Courtroom this week. Sergeant Muldoon stated he stopped a car which was towing a trailer carrying sheep at 2.50pm at Listillion, Letterkenny.
