Letterkenny Athletic Membership member Caitriona Jennings competed within the 2023 IAU 50km World Championships within the Metropolis of Pearls, Hyderabad, India final Sunday.
She completed in 3.29.25 in difficult warmth racing amongst elite runners.
Nicely executed to Eoin Hughes who competed within the 87th historic McConnell Defend Cross Nation in Sixmilewater River Park, Ballyclare, Antrim.
The membership’s Novice groups put in excellent performances in Stranorlar within the Ulster ANI Cross Nation.
The boys’s workforce consisted of Michael Harkin, Conall Dunne, Adrian Callaghan, Cian Friel, and Garvan Mulligan while the ladies’s workforce consisted of Clodagh Sammon, Jesseka Gallagher, Stella McCole and Fin Begley.
Jesseka completed in 12th place whereas the ladies’s workforce completed in 7th place. Excellent working.
Barry Mackey was competing in Dubai within the Nakheel 5km highway race final weekend.
Barry ran a exceptional time of 19:41 ending in 1st place in his class. Nicely executed to Barry.
LAC meets Tuesday 5.15pm and at 6.30pm for an interval working session, Thursday night for a hill run at 6pm, Saturday morning at 9.30am for a tempo run and Sunday morning at 8am for a long term.
All runs begin on the Aura. All ranges catered for and inspired.
Match 4 Life which is run by LAC at the side of the Donegal Sports activities Partnership takes place each Monday at 5.45pm on the monitor on the Aura Leisure Centre Letterkenny.
The intention of the programme is to achieve out to those that want to enhance their health and all are most welcome any Monday they select to attend.
