Letterkenny man jailed after vicious assault in native automotive park

A Letterkenny man has been jailed for six months for a severe assault in a busy automotive park within the city.

Matthew Lafferty, who has 67 earlier convictions, attacked Michael Mawhinney at Tesco automotive park in Letterkenny on July 12, 2023.

The 35-year-old, with an handle at Calhame, Letterkenny, has been in custody since being refused bail on July thirteenth at Buncrana District Courtroom.
