A former trainer has been jailed for historic sexual abuse of three boys in Northern Eire.
Patrick Sharkey, 80, initially from Donegal, with an tackle on Holmfield Highway in Coventry, was handed a sentence of three years and 4 months for offences dedicated between September 1, 1988, and December 31, 1998.
BBC Information NI studies that Sharkey, who taught at St Joseph’s School, Coleraine, was arrested in July 2022. He denied any wrongdoing throughout questioning till he was re-arraigned final March.
The three victims had been aged between 12 and 16 years outdated on the time of their abuse.
Sharkey appeared at Antrim Crown Courtroom final week by way of videolink from jail.
