An inspirational Donegal lady was final week honoured with the Lord Mayor’s Medal for working her fifth Dublin Marathon beneath distinctive circumstances.

Rita Casey (neé Doherty) from Malin Head is a Garda and a mum-of-three who refused to let most cancers cease her from attaining her targets.
